Here is some basic information about your portfolio shoot.
Purpose of your portfolio shoot: To create a portfolio of images in various wardrobe that will be shown to clients in order to line up modeling projects for you. We have the highest success ratings in the industry for getting assignments for our models, so we know what to shoot.
What you will get: You will receive at least 10 professionally produced images from your shoot within 10 business days. You have permission to use the images for your personal or business purposes, including the right to use them on your own modeling site. If you do not have your own website, we can help you with that.
Under 18: You need to have a parent’s permission. A parent or legal guardian will need to sign a photo release, giving permission for the shoot.
Location: High Falls State Park. It is probably the most beautiful park in all of Georgia with a lake, a gazebo, a park, and incredible natural cascading waterfalls for the backdrop. We use the park because it is a public place, which makes it safe for you and our photographer. It is extremely easy to get to and is right off I-75, exit 198. Shoot Time & Date: Usually portfolio shoots are scheduled for either a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon, but it is occasionally possible to schedule it at other times during the week. The entire shoot will take 2-3 hours.
Wardrobe: You do not need to go out and purchase anything. We will go through your fb pics and make suggestions and you can email any other outfits you’d like to consider to GirlsofDixie@aol.com before we submit the final wardrobe choices to the photographer for approval.
Contact: Once your shoot is scheduled, the photographer assigned to your shoot will call you to answer any questions that you have and will provide his/her phone number. All other contact prior to that will be online. Unless you are under 18, do not have a parent, boyfriend, or anyone else communicate for you. We are only interested in models that demonstrate a level of maturity and professionalism that we can trust with projects for our clients.
Cost: The total cost of your portfolio shoot is $495. The portfolio cost includes the photographer’s charges for 2-3 hours for your shoot, plus editing of your photos, plus the 10 images that you will receive from your shoot! We previously paid for our models’ portfolio shoots, but several girls ruined that for everyone by cancelling or not showing up for their shoots, which we still had to pay for once they were booked. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it’s still an incredible price for shooting with one of the most successful photographers in the business! And your photos will be amazing!
